Program Itinerary of the 8 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech

Day 1: Tangier - Tetouan - Chefchaouen

On arrival in Tangier, you will be picked up at the port or at your hotel to start our “8 days desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech”. You will then depart for Chefchaouen. Before, we will stop in the city of Tetouan. It is also called the city of the White and the Dove. We will visit this city and we will arrive to the city of Chefchaouen. This is the most charming city of Morocco. In this city, you have free time to visit to explore it. You can stroll through its streets to admire its old white and blue coloured houses. You can also see the handicraft and take photos. Overnight at the hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Chefchaouen - Meknes - Fes

After breakfast, we will leave for the city of Fes through the forests and villages of the Rif. First, we will be in Volubilis to explore the ruins of the Romans. Later, we will continue our way to Meknes. It is an imperial city that reached its peak under Sultan Moulay Ismail. There, you will visit the famous Mansour Gate, the old Medina, the Qara Prison and the granary. In addition, you will visit the square where there are local activities. Afterwards, we continue our way to the imperial city of Fez. Overnight in hotel/Riad in the Medina.

Day 3: Fes - Visit of the city

A full day is planned to explore the intellectual city of Morocco. After breakfast, our local guide will take you to explore this historical city and its attractions. There are many monuments that you can visit such as mosques and Koranic schools. In addition, you will visit the gate of the Royal Palace, the Jewish residence and the old Medina. Then you will visit the University of Karaouine and the Attarine Museum and the tanneries. And at the Blue Gate you will visit Fes El Jadid or the new Medina. After visiting all the attractions, you will spend a night in your raid/hotel.

Day 4: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Erfoud- Merzouga

From Fes, we will drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, and stop to visit Ifrane. Ifrane is known as the Switzerland of Africa with an exceptional nature. Next, we will be in the village of Azrou, known for its large cedar forest inhabited by monkeys. We will then arrive in Midelt for lunch and continue driving through the Tizi Talghomt at 1,907m. Here we will admire a breathtaking view of the mountains and valleys. Then we reach the region of Errachidia and the oasis of Tafilalet. We will visit an oasis in the Ziz valley and head to Erfoud and Merzouga. In Merzouga, we will ride camels to spend the night in a camp and enjoy dinner.

Day 5: Merzouga- Rissani - Todra Gorge - Valley of Roses

After returning from the camp, we will visit the city of Rissani. We will also visit the palm groves of the villages of Jorf and Tinjadad. Then, we will stop at the Ksar of Touroug to take pictures in its groves. Afterwards, we will arrive in Tinghgir to visit the Todra Gorges and have lunch there. Later, we will drive through the valleys of Boulmane Dades and visit El Kelaat M’Gouna. There we will explore the Valley of the Roses, where rose products are made and where the rose festival is celebrated during the month of May. At the end of the day, we will continue to our accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Dades Gorge - Ouarzazate - Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech City.

After breakfast, we will head to the city of Marrakech via Tizi-n-Tichka (2260m). Before, we will visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the Atlas Studios in Ouarzazate. The famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou is our next place to visit. It is an ancient fortress declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will then continue our way to the Kasbah of Talouet. From there, we will cross the curves of Tizi-n-Tichka, which offers panoramic views of the plains of the Haouz. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon.

Day 7: Marrakech - City tour

In the morning, you will visit the attractions of this city with a local guide. The city was ruled by several dynasties that have gone before. On this tour, you will explore its history and traditions. There are many places to visit, such as the Ben Youssef Madrasa, the Menara Garden and the Dar Si Said Museum. You will also visit the Saadian tombs and the palaces of Bahia and El Badi. You will then visit the old Medina and the famous Jemaa El Fna. In its square you will see snake charmers, musicians, dancers and actors. After visiting all the sites, you have a free afternoon. Overnight in a Riad/Hotel.

Day 8: Transfer to the airport.

After breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport. And we will finish the “8 days desert tour from Tangier to Marrakech”.
