Program Itinerary of the 6 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech

Day 1: Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen.

On arrival in Tangier, you will be picked up at the port or at the hotel. We will then depart for Chefchaouen. Before, we will stop in the city of Tetouan. It is also called the city of the White and the Dove. We will visit this city and we will arrive to the city of Chefchaouen. This is the most charming city of Morocco. In this city, you have free time to visit to explore it. You can stroll through its streets to admire its old white and blue coloured houses. You can also see the handicraft and take photos. Overnight at the hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Chefchouen – Meknes – Fes.

After breakfast, we will depart for the city of Fez through the forests and villages of the Rif. First, we will be in Volubilis to explore the ruins of the Romans. Later, we will continue our way to Meknes. It is an imperial city that reached its peak under Sultan Moulay Ismail. There, you will visit the famous Mansour Gate, the old Medina, the Qara Prison and the granary. In addition, you will visit the square where there are local activities. Afterwards, we continue our way to the imperial city of Fez. Overnight in hotel/Riad in the Medina.

Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou forest – Middle Atlas – Ziz Valley – Merzouga desert dunes:

From Fes, we will drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains, and stop to visit Ifrane. Ifrane is known as the Switzerland of Africa with an exceptional nature. Next, we will be in the village of Azrou, known for its large cedar forest inhabited by monkeys. We will then arrive in Midelt for lunch and continue driving through the Tizi Talghomt at 1,907m. Here we will admire a breathtaking view of the mountains and valleys. Then we reach the region of Errachidia and the oasis of Tafilalet. We will visit an oasis in the Ziz valley and head to Erfoud and Merzouga. In Merzouga, we will ride camels to spend the night in a camp and enjoy dinner.

Day 4: Merzouga desert “Desert excursion”:

After breakfast, we will make an excursion through the desert to the village of Khamlia. We will enjoy Gnawa music in this village, and continue our way behind the dunes to visit the Mifis mines and have tea with nomadic families in tents. Here we will explore the simple life of the nomads and have lunch with their Berber pizza. We will then return to the hotel to rest before the camel ride. We will ride our camels to the central dunes, where our desert camp is located surrounded by dunes. There, you will enjoy the view of the sunset and spend a night under the stars.

Day 5: Sahara desert – Rissani – Erfoud – Todgha Canyons – Dades Canyons:

We will start the journey of our “6 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech” by driving via the black desert Hamadas “Black volcanic desert” with black stones and acacia trees. Here, we will get to Rissani an ‘Alaouite city of Sultan Moulay Ali Cherif’. In addition, there is a traditional souk with handicrafts. We will visit this souk and drive to Erfoud where we can visit a fossil workshop before continuing our journey to the Todra Gorges. Todra t is known for rock climbing activities with rocks reaching 300 m high. After visiting this place and having lunch, we will explore the rock formation and head to the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight at the hotel or Riad.

Day 6: Dades Canyons – Rose valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech:

After breakfast, We will cross the valley of the Rose passing the rose capital (Kalaat M’Gouna) on the way to Ouarzazate. ” the Hollywood of Morocco”. 30 Kms after Ouarzazate, We will get to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This small village of Ait Benhaddou is a UNESCO matrimonial historical site that is now a house of many Glaoui family members. We will go on a walking visit to the Kasbah. We will walk in this large kasbah and admire its Berber building decoration and its old rocks stairs. Afterward, We will return to a Moroccan panoramic restaurant facing the Kasbah while taking our lunch break.
After lunch, We will cross the High Atlas mountains on the way to the red city of Marrakech. Upon arrival in Marrakech, we will continue to your riad or hotel, where we will finish our “6 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech“, hoping you had a good memorable trip with our team.
