Program Itinerary of the 4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Cedar forest – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga desert dunes:

Our “4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech” starts in the morning after breakfast, we will leave Fes passing through Ifran, a Swiss-style Moroccan village, and through the cedar forests where we can see the monkeys in the trees. We have lunch in Midelt, “the apple capital”, at the foot of the Ayachi mountain. We continue via the Tizi-n-Talremt pass through the Ziz Valley, which is known for its palm trees and the size of the oasis. All along the way there are “ksars”, small villages. From here we reach Er Rachidia and then Erfoud, famous for its festival of dates and fossils. We arrive in Merzouga where you can see the dunes of Morocco, the rest of the day you can watch the light change over the dunes at sunset. Overnight at the Riad/hotel in the desert.

Day 2: Merzouga desert “Desert excursion”:

After breakfast, we will make an excursion through the desert to the village of Khamlia. We will enjoy Gnawa music in this village, and continue our way behind the dunes to visit the Mifis mines and have tea with nomadic families in tents. Here we will explore the simple life of the nomads and have lunch with their Berber pizza. We will then return to the hotel to rest before the camel ride. We will ride our camels to the central dunes, where our desert camp is located surrounded by dunes. There, you will enjoy the view of the sunset and spend a night under the stars.

Day 3: Sahara desert – Rissani – Erfoud – Todgha Canyons – Dades Canyons:

We will start the 3rd day of our “4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech” by driving via the black desert Hamadas “Black volcanic desert” with black stones and acacia trees. Here, we will get to Rissani an ‘Alaouite city of Sultan Moulay Ali Cherif’. It also was an economic city for Nomad caravans.
After passing this city, We will join Erfoud city which is known as the ‘Fossils and Geology capital’. Here we will stop for a visit to a workshop on fossils, before continuing our way to Todgha gorges via Jorf and Tinjdad city.
Upon arrival at these Canyons, We will go for a walk in between these gorges with their fresh breeze and waterfalls sounds.
We will then continue to Boumalne Dades crossing its green Fig and olive trees before we reach these natural Rocks known as “Monkey toes”, because of their natural form. Dinner and overnight in the middle of the Dades canyons hotel.

Day 4: Dades Canyons – Rose valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou – Marrakech:

After breakfast, We will cross the valley of the Rose passing the rose capital (Kalaat M’Gouna) on the way to Ouarzazate. ” the Hollywood of Morocco”. 30 Kms after Ouarzazate, We will get to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. This small village of Ait Benhaddou is a UNESCO matrimonial historical site that is now a house of many Glaoui family members. We will go on a walking visit to the Kasbah. We will walk in this large kasbah and admire its Berber building decoration and its old rocks stairs. Afterward, We will return to a Moroccan panoramic restaurant facing the Kasbah while taking our lunch break.
After lunch, We will cross the High Atlas mountains on the way to the red city of Marrakech. Upon arrival in Marrakech, we will continue to your riad or hotel, where we will finish our “4 days tour from Fes to Marrakech”, hope you had a good memorable trip with our team.
